The first pickle jars from Knabstrup Keramik were shaped as early as 1914, and have historically been of crucial importance for Knabstrup. Knabstrup actually produced over half of Denmark’s preserving pots when production was at its peak. Today it has again become trendy to pickle one’s own beetroot or make one’s own jam, and many of us find great calm and satisfaction in the preservation of homemade delicacies. The pickle jars can also be incorporated into modern interior design or used for more practical purposes, such as storage of kitchen utensils.
