The well-known and beloved Omaggio vase from Kähler is back in a version manufactured from leftover materials from previous productions that would otherwise have gone to waste. Under the title Omaggio Circulare, the new, exciting choice of materials helps to give the popular vase a contemporary and forward-looking perspective with a focus on reducing the environmental impact. The shape is as we know it with the soft, organic lines that dominate the modern Kähler classic created in collaboration with designers Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft, who together design under the name Stilleben. They designed the Omaggio vase back in 2007. For the 2024 edition, the duo have applied their innovative approach to design and created the Omaggio Circulare, which has a completely new look with circular materials. Like the other two vases in the series, the small 12.5-cm vase has a refined two-piece design with a rustic top in a natural grey that has taken its colour from the recycled materials, and a hand-painted anthracite grey that drapes beautifully on the lower half of the vases, creating weight and contrast. All the pieces in the Omaggio series are designed to complement one another. Use them to create interesting and decorative displays by combining the new Omaggio Circulare vases with other Omaggio vases, flowerpots and candleholders in different sizes and colours – perhaps some without flowers, plants and candles to allow the design’s sculptural lines to speak for themselves.
