Red wines need air to breathe. Especially the full-bodied, “heavy” drops need to be tossed in order for their aromas to come to their fullest. Wine develops best in a decanter. This is a glass decanter without a handle with an extra wide base. A decanter is usually filled to the widest point: this brings as much of the wine as possible into direct contact with oxygen. In the slender neck of the WFM decanter, the air circulates in a dosed manner, without the bouquet being lost. A WMF decanter has a volume of 1.5 liters.
