The Vinalia glass series has a modern design while also drawing on the rich history and cultural significance that wine has had over the centuries. The Vinalia series pays tribute to the Vinalia festivals of ancient Rome. These celebrations were held to mark the wine harvest and thank the gods of wine for their benevolence. During the festivities there were colourful processions, musical performances, dances, and competitions, and wine tastings were organised where various wine, both for special events and everyday use were presented and evaluated by experts, and lavish banquets and parties were held where the Romans celebrated the abundance of wine and nature.
