When we search for a shirt without a collar, it is a shirt with a Chinese or standing collar that we mean. Washing a linen shirt does not have to be rocket science. However, there are a couple of guidelines that you should follow if you want to take care of your linen clothes as well as possible. A linen garment can be washed at 40-60 degrees. A good start is to turn the garments inside out and wash them in a half-full machine. If you have a modern washing machine, you can run the clothes at a lower temperature, if you have a slightly older machine, you should increase the degrees. Because linen is a material that breathes well and does not absorb dirt and odours as easily as other fabrics, you do not need to wash it as hard. It is also more beneficial for the environment and energy consumption if you choose a milder wash. If you have a very delicate linen garment, you should first and foremost prioritize ventilation, shaking and gentle hand washing to maintain the character of the fabric. Avoid drying completely and hang up your linen garments immediately after you have washed them, pull out the fabric slightly and let it drip dry. Another trick is to iron your linen shirt while the fabric is still damp. It is gentler on the material and gives better results. But always follow the washing instructions for your clothes.
